This garlic bread came about from my recent pizza making and desire to recreate one of my favorite dinner sides as a child. I prepared them on a whim and placed them in the oven during the last 5 minutes of making my favorite veggies. They turned out great and, since then, have been requested by Dayv every night for dinner. They are the perfect amount of crunchy, buttery, and garlicy. But don't be afraid to add an extra clove or two of garlic on top, I do.
Garlic Bread
makes two pieces
2 slices of gluten-free bread(or regular)
Earth Balance
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
mozzarella cheese shreds(I used Teese)
Italian seasoning
Preheat oven to 400. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Butter both sides of bread slices, and place on aluminum foil. Scatter garlic and cheese over the tops of bread. Lastly, sprinkle on Italian seasoning. Place in oven for 5-8 minutes, depending on how crunchy you like your garlic bread. Remove from heat and serve with tomato sauce. Enjoy!

I looooovvvvveee garlic too. And these look great. I have made plenty of vegan garlic bread, but so far I haven't used any vegan cheese on top. I take it Teese is a good brand? I usually use Daiya or Follow Your Heart.
ReplyDeleteyeah for garlic and bread! i mean come one i love garlic in everything and i love bread, which we all know:) most of my evening snacks are something with bread:) me thinks i might end up eating loaves of garlic bread if there is no one to stop me.
ReplyDeleteYum, anything involving bread I love! I don't feel bad because garlic is so healthy.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of bread is that? It looks awesome. Haven't liked any of the gluten free bread I've tried.
ReplyDeleteI am an italian food lover too, anything with garlic too. This sounds simple and delicious, the smell of garlic bread always brings me back to very old memories!
ReplyDeleteWait, it's not legit to just eat bread and pasta all day long? :) I love love love your simple yet super garlicky bread--definitely the way I like mine!
ReplyDeleteOh yum, this garlic bread look so good that I would want it every night, too!
ReplyDeleteMmm, it really is all about those simple pleasures, isn't it? Like you, I adore garlic. At our co-op, they sell loaves of sourdough that have whole roasted cloves of garlic inside. They only sell it three days a week, and I know which days those are, so that I can make a special trip to get a loaf. It's so good sliced and then grilled on our outdoor grill. I don't know what I'm going to do when it's too cold to grill... I don't want to be deficient in the bread group! ;)
ReplyDeleteMmm this is how I make my garlic bread:) Oily was always one of my favorite foods before I became aware of how bad it was for you! Love your blog:)
ReplyDeleteYum, I love garlic bread! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my lord- super buttery, garlicky garlic bread is the best. So simple, yet so indulgent. You've totally reminded me that it's been far too long since I've had some. Your's looks absolutely divine!
ReplyDeleteGarlic is added to just about everything- my local farmstand carries the most fragrant and almost sweet garlic - nothing compares...I stock up the best I can before they close for the winter, garlic makes everything better!
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of this recipe. Perfect for when a garlic craving hits (usually in the very inconvenient wee hours of the morning for me). It looks delicious!
