Blossom Du Jour | If you are looking for a fast and delicious (and healthful) option, Blossom Du Jour is the perfect place. Everything is vegan and the gluten free options are clearly denoted on the menu. They have all different bowls, sides, and you can create your own bowl. Since I wanted something super light, I created my own bowl. First, you choose three bases; I chose marinated kale, sweet potatoes, and roasted veggies (carrots and beets). Other options include quinoa, rice, spring mix... Next, my "protein" was barbeque jackfruit. You could also get a veggie burger, tofu, seitan, etc. My dressing was a Caesar, which was on the side and definitely added another flavor dimension. I also got a side of hot sauce which has a definite kick. Overall, my meal was absolutely delicious!

We only had to wait about five minutes for our order, which was during rush hour when they were busy. I took my bowl to go and ate it back in my hotel room. I love the eco-friendly packaging and super friendly staff. The girl taking our order was so so nice, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. She also gave us a large cup of water from their water pitcher because we were so parched. I will definitely be back!

The Little Beet | My coworker and I stopped at The Little Beet at the Pensy to get a quick to go dinner before taking an Amtrak back to Philly. Not to be dramatic, but this bowl was life-changing. I got a build your own bowl with roasted broccoli, sweet potato fries (which were perfectly charred), chipotle slaw with kale, barbeque jackfruit, and topped with pickled onion, almonds, and sunflower seeds. I also got three sauces: tahini, beet hummus, and cilantro avocado dip.

I love that everything is so customizable. Everything is gluten free with tons of vegan options. All the sauces are vegan and you can ask for as many as you would like. The portion sizes are perfect for a volume eater, like me, and many other vegans: large and very satisfying. The staff is really nice and helpful. I wish I could come here every day!!

Top tips: the sweet potatoes are the best I've ever had, so perfectly charred on the outside and soft on the inside. I also loved the toppings and sauces. You simply cannot go wrong!
