"Books are a uniquely portable magic."- Stephen King

I am a huge library fanatic. I visit my local library 2+ times a week in order to return and/or pick up new books. When scouring through "Must See Places" in Seattle while planning our third Seattle vacation in three years, I stumbled upon the Seattle Public Library. During a rainy afternoon, we made the trek over to this massive, architecturally stunning Seattle landmark. It contains 11 floors, complete with an elevator and escalators, and even has a gift shop.

My favorite part of the library is the Children's Section. It is very large, filled to the brim with any and every children's book you can imagine. I especially loved looking through the Fairytales of the World shelves and was able to quickly locate my childhood favorite, Lon Po Po. The addition of the papier-mâché decorations make the area extremely etherial and escapist. If I lived in Seattle, spending quality time at the public library would most definitely be a weekly non-negotiable.
